Truck Travails in White Oaks

Remember AT&T’s famous motto: “Reach out and touch someone”?

Well, AT&T touched us this week when one of its utility pole service trucks parked under our heritage magnolia tree and snapped off branches.

The driver of the vehicle, which was one of those crane affairs with appendages protruding above the cab, didn’t have to park where he did. The work that his crew was doing involved a utility pole on the corner across the street, diagonal to our house. There were plenty of open curbside areas to park without scraping trees.
